A Hanging at the US Attorney’s Office…

I was pleased to be asked to hang LARGE paintings at the US Attorney’s office in Burlington this summer.  I chose 5 large landscapes (you can see them on the acrylic web pages) and 6 small pieces – some of which I grouped together.  The hallway wall space is wonderful – especially the curved walls at the top of their internal spiral staircase.  That is the good news here.  The less good news is that it is not accessible to the public.  Only attorneys, staff,  judges, and clients are able to see the work. The paintings will hang there for 6 months – which means that I won’t be tempted to paint over these pieces during that time! Actually, I had major help in hanging these pieces: from Sara Katz (she, herself is a wonderful painter) and my husband, David. (His training for this was at his first job at the MFA,Boston – where he hung a Wyeth show — being the guy in the gray shirt with DAVE on the pocket.).
